Just Rewards for Loyal Marks & Spencer Staff
Taking a well-deserved break from the Burton-upon-Trent store, Marie joined more than 100 staff from across the UK as they were each rewarded for up to 40 years of loyal service to the company, representing an impressive total of 2,820 years serving M&S customers.
As well as enjoying a champagne reception, Mrs Shore received a special gift to mark her achievement of 25 years' service.
Marks & Spencer's Chief Executive, Stuart Rose, said: "Marks & Spencer's dedicated staff care deeply about the way we do business. Their loyalty and commitment can be seen everyday, particularly with the first class customer service they provide. These awards are our way of showing our appreciation for all the hard work they do and we are delighted to celebrate this special occasion with them all."
Mrs Shore, who began her career as a store hairdresser in Marks & Spencer Burton-upon-Trent, said: "I have really enjoyed working for Marks & Spencer and have made some very good friends during my time with the company.
"The compassion and understanding I received from work colleagues and the company was second to none when most needed. I have contributed in many positions including training, recruitment and now section co-ordinator over the past 25 years and feel privileged to be part of the team."
As well as her commemorative gift, Mrs Shore was also treated to a night to remember, enjoying a West End Show and an overnight stay in a top London hotel, before being whisked back home.
