Elder Abuse - A Scandal We All Need To Address
Leading Age Charities estimate that over 10% of older people across the European Union have experienced some form of serious age-related abuse, whether this is physical, psychological or financial. In 80% of cases the abuser is known to the victim.
Silver surfers top users of the internet
Research published by Ofcom, the industry regulator, has found that one quarter of all UK surfers are over 50 and this age group account for 30 per cent of total time spent online. The over-55s spend more than 42 hours a month online each, more than any other age group.
