Hair & Beauty Show Raises Money for Breast Cancer
The money was raised at the College's End Of Year Hair, Beauty and Nail Show, which was held at Burton's Belvedere Park Club, where around 200 full and part time Hairdressing, Beauty and Nail students took part in a catwalk show, designed to use all of the techniques that they had learnt over the last year. Entitled "Hair and Beauty Present A Night At The Theatre", the show featured creations, based around the theme of famous West End performances.
Curriculum Area Leader Hairdressing & Beauty Catherine Gadsby said, "The show was a great success and showcased the talents of up and coming stylists and therapists of the future. On the evening, we always try and raise as much money as possible for the very worthwhile local cause that is the breast cancer support group at Queen's Hospital, so it was fantastic to raise £850."
