Coors Comes to the Aid of Local Church
The brewer has offered the Guildhall in Station Street as a temporary home for the church for their regular Sunday services, starting this weekend.
Senior Pastors, Stephen and Jenny Watson, said: "The Church has been overwhelmed by the response of the church family and members of the public who have offered to help.
"The Guildhall will provide the perfect temporary home for the church and is a welcome 'answer to prayer' after the tragic loss by fire last Thursday of our recently renovated premises. We're very grateful to Coors Brewers to offer their premises until the Ministry can find a permanent location or until their venue can be rebuilt.
"We are very excited about the partnership with Coors Brewers and the mutual support that this opportunity will afford towards all ventures and projects to bless the town and bring hope into seemingly desperate and unfortunate circumstances."
Kelly Hughes, Coors Business Services Manager, said: "We're delighted to help out the local church in their time of need. We've recently renovated the Guildhall and many of our staff use the premises for meetings during the week, it's great to see it put to good use during the weekend for such a good cause."
There is an open invitation to all CIM gatherings at the Guildhall on Sunday mornings at 10.30am.
Individuals or businesses who want to give financial support to CIM as it rebuilds and recovers from this tragedy can do so by post to CIM, C/O 25 Maple Way, Branston, Burton on Trent, DE14 3NQ or directly to Lloyds TSB, Station Street, Account Number 33144860. Registered Charity No. 1084916
